ACTION ALERT: LEF Needs Your Help in Minnesota

minnesota helpLiberty Education Forum is embarking on educational work in Minnesota, and we need your help!

The need for outreach on issues of gay acceptance in the North Star State has never been more necessary. With a statewide referendum looming in November seeking to amend the state's constitution to exclude gay couples from the possibility of ever entering into civil marriage, it's urgent that all Minnesotans understand that committed gay couples want nothing more than to live our lives with the same rights and protections that our heterosexual peers have.

LEF is looking for committed same-sex couples in the state of Minnesota willing to volunteer for one day to share their story of love and commitment. Please email LEF Executive Director Gregory T. Angelo at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ASAP to find out how you can make a difference at this critical time.

LEF Exclusive interview with Mitchell Gold

Combating religion-based bigotry is an issue of special importance to Gold. His latest book, Youth in Crisis: What Everyone Should Know About Growing Up Gay, shares the stories of over 40 individuals -- some famous, others just ordinary Americans -- and the impact their upbringing had on their lives and others.

In this exclusive interview with Liberty Education Forum, Gold shares what he learned in the process of writing the book and his prescription for gaining equal rights for all Americans.

"Why I Give": Terry Hamilton

terryhamiltonMy name is Terry Hamilton. I’m a teacher. I’m a resident of California. I've been in a loving relationship with my partner, John Ruble, for 40 years this September 10. And I’m a proud supporter of Liberty Education Forum.

The state I live in has been central in some of the most monumental challenges in the fight for gay equality in history: from the failed Briggs Initiative of 1978 -- which would have made it illegal for me to be a school teacher as an openly gay man -- to the Proposition 8 vote in 2008 which tore the right of marriage from gay Californians who wanted nothing more than the same rights as other committed couples...
