Keeping the Faith

Achieving full equality for gay and lesbian Americans depends on having more support for fairness among conservatives and people of faith. People of faith who are gay and lesbian should defend their beliefs and nurture their relationship with God.

Religious based bigotry and discrimination is unacceptable. Sexual orientation should not be used as a way to oppose basic protections for gay and lesbians. Let us be very clear, we are fighting only for civil protections, nothing more, nothing less. We do not want to infringe on a religion's imperative and traditions. We respect the importance of religious freedom and believe each church should free from government interference. That is why our nation has a separation of church and state.
